Jessica Nelson

Jessica Nelson is a highly experienced professional with a robust background in planned giving and legal practices. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Legacy Giving at the University of Utah since August 2013, Jessica has managed the drafting and review of over 500 gift contracts, overseeing pending estate gifts. Prior to this role, Jessica held positions as the Interim Director and Associate Director of Planned Giving within the same institution. Jessica's earlier experience includes serving as Program Chair at Broadview University, providing legal instruction and support, and practicing law at Arnold & Wadsworth, focusing on various legal areas. Jessica also served as a Logistics Technician in the US Air Force Reserve, managing sensitive documentation. Academically, Jessica holds a J.D. from the Appalachian School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Weber State University.
