Monica Delisa, Ed.D.

Monica Delisa, Ed.D. has a extensive work experience in the field of development and fundraising. Monica is currently the President and CEO of the University of Vermont Foundation since May 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Consultant and Vice President of Development at the University of South Carolina from January 2021 to April 2022, where they provided strategic oversight and management of the university's comprehensive development efforts. Before joining the University of South Carolina, they worked at Georgia College & State University for seven years, starting in March 2014 as the Vice President for University Advancement. In this role, they were responsible for the university's advancement programs and served as the Executive Director of the Georgia College and State University Foundation. Monica also spent five years at the Texas A&M Foundation as the Assistant Vice President for Development. During their tenure, they successfully managed the fundraising efforts for various departments and achieved record-breaking results. Earlier in their career, they held fundraising positions at The University of Arizona, where they served as the Director of Major Gifts for the Arizona Health Sciences Center and the Steele Children's Research Center. Monica also served as the Director of Advancement at San Miguel High School. Monica began their career at The University of Arizona, where they held roles in the College of Nursing and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Monica Delisa, Ed.D., obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural Communications from the University of Arizona, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Monica then pursued their Master of Arts (MA) in Journalism at the same institution from 1991 to 1994. Finally, Monica completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Specialized Study: Non Profit Leadership at City University of Seattle, spanning from 2016 to 2022.
