Cara Hancy

Cara Hancy is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aquatic programming and community wellness. Currently serving as the Employee Wellness Manager at the University of Vermont since October 2021, Cara has also held roles such as Treasurer and former President of the Vermont Swim Association Board, where vital initiatives were implemented, including safety protocols during the Covid-19 pandemic and establishing the organization's 501c3 status. As Lead Swimming Coach and Administrator for the Central Vermont Swim Club since 2014, Cara focuses on swimmer development while managing team operations. Additionally, ownership of Just Ducky Aquatics LLC has allowed Cara to deliver a wide array of aquatic services catering to diverse community needs. With a Master's degree in Leadership Studies from Northern Vermont University and a strong background in aquatic management and coaching—from previous positions at Northern Vermont University and the Johnson State College to impactful roles in various swim organizations—Cara blends leadership, educational expertise, and a passion for aquatic activities to enhance community health and fitness.
