Katie Wells

Katie Wells, MD, MPH, currently serves as the Director of International Emergency Medicine and the Director of Social Medicine at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont, as well as the UVMHN ED Director for Health Equity at the University of Vermont since June 2022. With extensive experience in emergency medicine and global health, Katie is also a Resident Physician at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Previous roles include Global Health Research Fellow at the University of Utah Center for Global Surgery and General Surgery Resident at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Katie holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Mercer University School of Medicine, and is pursuing a Masters in Public Health (MPH) at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, following a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from The University of Georgia.
