Kendall Fortney

Kendall Fortney serves as the Program Director for the Open Source Program Office at the University of Vermont since April 2022, overseeing operations and providing technical support for open-source initiatives. Prior to this role, Fortney was a Senior Product Manager and Insight Analyst at Navigate360, specializing in Ed-Tech products. An independent consultant from January 2017 to September 2018, Fortney developed data analytics strategies and utilized machine learning for predictive insights. As a Vermont Data Innovation Fellow from July 2017 to July 2018, Fortney promoted open datasets and coordinated geospatial data initiatives. Previous experiences also include roles in client experience and account management at Dealer.com and MyWebGrocer, and a strong foundation in data acquisition services at Vermont Information Processing. Kendall Fortney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine/Studio Arts from Vassar College.
