Pramodita (Dita) Sharma is a distinguished academic and expert in family enterprise, currently serving as University Distinguished Professor and Schlesinger Grossman Chair of Family Enterprise at The Grossman School of Business, University of Vermont since 2011. Sharma launched the Family Business Awards at UVM in 2012 and founded the Family Enterprise Case Competition in 2013, while also developing and teaching courses on Entrepreneurial Family Business and an ONLINE Certificate Program on Sustainable Family Enterprise. Additional roles include faculty at Family Enterprise Canada, Sr. Advisor & Fellow at the Indian School of Business, and member of the Board of Advisors at Jönköping International Business School. Sharma has previously held positions at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, The Family Firm Institute as Editor of Family Business Review, and Babson College, where significant advancements in governance and research dissemination were made. Educational credentials include a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Family Business from the University of Calgary and an MBA from Punjab Agricultural University.
