Barbara H. Eccles

Barbara H. Eccles, ICD.D, currently serves as General Counsel at the University of Victoria since September 2022, and has been a Board Member at Synergy North since May 2017. Previously, Barbara held the role of General Counsel and University Secretary at Lakehead University for over 22 years, where responsibilities included providing legal services and advising governing bodies. Additionally, Barbara served as Chair of the Governance Committee and Board Member at Tbaytel from July 2019 to November 2022. With extensive legal expertise, Barbara's experience spans various sectors, including management labor law, corporate law, and technology transfer. Barbara is an alumnus of Lakehead University, the University of Toronto, and Northumbria University, and completed the Directors Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors.
