Vahid Ahsani

Vahid Ahsani, Ph.D., currently serves as the Manager of Laboratories in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Victoria since January 2014, overseeing undergraduate lab operations and ensuring a safe, experiential learning environment. Ahsani has held various instructional roles, including sessional instructor and teaching assistant for a range of engineering courses, teaching hundreds of students in topics like engineering drawing, design, and graphics. Research experience includes work as a graduate research assistant in advanced manufacturing and measurement device development at institutions such as the Fraunhofer Institute and RWTH Aachen. Ahsani holds a Ph.D. in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from the University of Victoria, an MSc in Mechatronics from Aachen University of Applied Sciences, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Islamic Azad University.
