Annette Norton is the Interim Chief Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer at UVA Health. Annette has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has been with UVA Health for the past three years. Prior to their current role, they served as the Chief Privacy Officer at Columbus Regional Health and Piedmont Columbus Regional.

Annette Norton completed their Juris Master in Legal Studies/Healthcare from Florida State University College of Law. Annette also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration from Mary Baldwin University. In addition, they are certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), by the Health Care Compliance Association as a Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), and by the Health Care Compliance Association as a Certified in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC).
