Gary Eggerton

Gary Eggerton has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Gary is currently working as the Head of Software Engineering at the University of Warwick, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Gary worked as a Director at Computercentric Ltd since 2016. Gary also held various roles at GE Renewable Energy from 2017 to 2022, including Head of HVDC Capability, HVDC Engineering Efficiency Leader, HVDC Delivery & Validation/Automation Manager, and HVDC Delivery Manager. Before that, they were an Engineering Coordinator at HID Global in 2017. Gary's earlier work experience includes roles such as Software Engineer at PowerOasis Ltd from 2016 to 2017, and Systems Architect/Software Developer at Anritsu from 2014 to 2016. Gary also worked as a Senior Software Developer at BlackBerry from 2012 to 2014, Senior Software Engineer at Nokia Siemens Networks from 2011 to 2012, and Senior Software Engineer at Motorola from 2000 to 2011. Gary began their career as a Software Engineer at Lanner Group in 1999.

Gary Eggerton earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Staffordshire University from 2020 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed a MSc (Oxon) degree in Software Engineering with Distinction from the University of Oxford from 2003 to 2007. Their undergraduate studies include a BSc (Hons) degree in Software Engineering (2.1) from Birmingham City University, which they achieved between 1996 and 1999.
