Marcel Smith

Marcel Smith is a Senior SDDC Engineer at UW Medicine, responsible for leading cross-team project management and budgeting for on-prem and cloud infrastructure growth, including migration to vSAN and AHV HCI environments. Previously, Marcel served as a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with expertise in PowerShell scripting, VMware, and disaster recovery solutions, alongside managing VMware clusters and vSphere. Prior experience includes roles as a SharePoint Developer and Systems Administrator at Kids II, where Marcel administered SharePoint and improved workflows, and as a Network Administrator at the Bank of Hiawassee, where responsibilities included implementing Exchange servers and converting network infrastructures. Marcel holds an Associate's degree in Computer Technology from North Georgia Technical College.
