Trent Rau

Trent Rau is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Director of IT at the University of Washington since November 2014, where responsibilities include project prioritization, planning, and oversight of maintenance and security for a user base and device fleet. Prior to this role, Trent held various positions at Marchex from June 2010 to February 2014, achieving key milestones such as the rapid implementation of a new corporate intranet and reviving a phone system upgrade. Previous experience includes roles at Microsoft/aQuantive, where Trent improved collaboration and efficiency, and as a Network Operator and Engineer at aQuantive and Sound Computers, respectively, focused on network management and security enhancement. Trent earned an AAS in Computer Network Systems Technology from ITT Technical Institute-Seattle between 1999 and 2001.
