Jiri Skala

Jiri Skala is a seasoned professional in computer science and engineering, currently serving as the software development team leader at the New Technologies Research Centre of the University of West Bohemia since January 2017. In addition, Jiri has been a researcher at the same center since October 2012, focusing on the research and development of algorithms for image analysis and technology process control, including the development of complex software for thermovision measuring and laser scanning head control. Prior to these roles, Jiri contributed to research in computer graphics and computational geometry from 2006 to 2012 at the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of West Bohemia. Jiri holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering and a Master's degree in the same field, both from the University of West Bohemia, along with a specialized grammar school education in mathematics.
