Ryan Bronkema is an accomplished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education administration. Currently serving as Interim Department Chair for Counseling, Higher Education, and Speech-Language Pathology and Associate Professor at the University of West Georgia, Ryan has held various key positions, including Associate Dean of University College and Director of Academic Transition Programs. Prior roles include Assistant to the Chair of the Higher Education and Student Affairs Program and Learning Management System Trainer at Bowling Green State University, along with consulting on teaching and learning strategies. Ryan's foundational experience as a Residence Hall Director at both the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and University of Wisconsin Oshkosh emphasized mentoring and student development. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, complemented by a degree in Small Business Management from Western Michigan University.
