Sam McNab

Lecturer - Simulation & Immersive Technologies at University of West London

Having initially trained as an Army Combat Medical Technician (CMT) in 2016, Sam started his career in a military setting, whilst trying to gain civilian healthcare experience. Moving from Scotland to London in 2018, Sam joined London Ambulance Service as an Emergency Medical Technician, 2 years later, Sam studied at the University of Cumbria to complete his DipHE in Paramedic Practice in 2021.

Sam continued to develop his clinical experience in various military courses such as, CBRN Medic, BATLS & EMSB, to later become a member of the clinical faculty on those courses. As Sam began to push into the Education space, he became a Phase 1 Instructor for Army Recruits and became a qualified Coach and Mentor. Sam joined UWL as a Lecturer in Simulation & Immersion in April 2023.

Sam has a strong interest in high fidelity based simulation, pre-hospital trauma care, and end of life care.
