Dr Olu Taiwo

Dr Olu Taiwo is an esteemed academic currently serving as an Honorary Associate Professor at University College London since March 2024. With extensive experience at the University of Winchester since September 1996, Dr Taiwo holds the position of Reader (Associate Professor), focusing on research, directing doctoral studies, and leading modules in curriculum design and development. Previously, Dr Taiwo was a part-time lecturer in Dance Studies at the University of Plymouth from 1989 to 1994, where responsibilities included lecturing and conducting workshops. Dr Taiwo earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Performance Philosophy from the University of Southampton (2001-2006) and holds degrees in Choreography and Dance Studies from City St George's, University of London (1994-1996), and a Fine Art degree with a focus on Performance Art from the University of Plymouth (1985-1988).
