Chris Bridges

Chris Bridges is an Associate Professor and OBDH Group Lead at Surrey Space Centre, with extensive experience in space engineering education and research since 2009. Responsibilities include directing undergraduate and postgraduate space programmes and teaching various modules such as Computer Architecture Design and Spacecraft Avionics. Key projects involve collaboration on the ESEO Software Defined Radio Payload and managing the STRaND-1 mission. Previous roles include Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at the same institution, as well as Research Fellow and Research Officer with a focus on nanosatellite design and distributed satellite systems. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Surrey and a BEng in Electronic Engineering from the University of Greenwich. Early career experience includes a role as a Production Engineer at BAE Systems. Current research focuses on low-power embedded computing and adaptive hardware/software systems.
