Sam Jones

Sam Jones serves as Pro Vice-Chancellor at the University of Winchester, contributing to strategy development and external relations since September 2015. Key achievements include the creation of two strategic plans outlining the University’s vision and objectives. Previous roles include Director of Communications and External Relations at the University, Head of Communications at University Alliance, and Head of the Ministerial Communications Unit for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Sam is also a Trustee for Winchester Hospice Fundraising Charity and Trinity Winchester, and served as a parent Governor at All Saints Church of England Primary School. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Justice and Community Action from The University of Edinburgh, a BA in Indigenous Studies & Communications from Monash University, and a Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM.
