Damon Smith has extensive experience in plant pathology, currently serving as the Vaughan-Bascom Professor and Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since September 2012, where responsibilities include field crops pathology extension and research. Prior to this role, Damon Smith held positions as an Assistant Professor at Oklahoma State University and Field Prophet, Inc. as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and M.S. in Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University and a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Geneseo.
