Dr. Andrene Wright

Dr. Andrene Wright serves as a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow at Penn State University since September 2022, after completing a PhD in Political Science and Government at Northwestern University. Wright has extensive experience in academia and community engagement, including roles as a Research Assistant and College Assistant at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where initiatives included launching an online African American Women’s editorial journal and teaching e-portfolio development. Additionally, Dr. Wright contributes to the Vera Institute of Justice's Center on Youth Justice, focusing on the Status Offense Reform Center project. Previous experiences include internships at the Kings County District Attorney's Office and as a Media Consultant for Pa-Nash Restaurant and Lounge. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree from John Jay College and studies at Michigan State University.
