Associate Director, Instructional Design, Center For Teaching, Learning & Mentoring

Emily Baker is an experienced professional in instructional design and online course development, currently serving as the Associate Director of Instructional Design at the Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since January 2011. In this role, Emily manages a diverse portfolio of for-credit and non-credit online courses while supervising a team of instructional designers and technologists. Emily's previous positions include Assistant Director of Online Course Production and Development, and a Course Designer at the Wisconsin Center for Academically Talented Youth. Additionally, Emily has experience in education as an English Teacher in South Korea and as a Substitute Teacher with Chicago Public Schools. Emily holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Design and Technology in Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Spanish, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
