Izabela Szlufarska

Izabela Szlufarska currently serves as the Department Chair and Harvey D Spangler Professor of Engineering in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where engagement includes roles as Professor, Associate Chair, and Assistant Professor across various engineering and science departments. Additionally, Izabela Szlufarska holds the position of Editor In Chief for Current Opinion in Solid State and Materials Science at Elsevier. Past experience includes a Visiting Associate Professor role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Southern California. Educational credentials include a PhD in Physics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and an M.S. in Applied Physics from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology.
