Nick enjoys spending time outdoors with a hoe or binoculars or wrench or a paddle in hand. When indoors, he'll likely have a basketball, cookbook, or crossword puzzle nearby. Having started at UW-Superior in 2008, Dr. Danz is a tenured Professor in Biology who has taught courses related to plants, ecology, and conservation. After serving a term as Associate Dean, he was appointed Dean of Academic Affairs in 2019. Dr. Danz studies plants and natural communities of our region, focusing on human influence on Great Lakes coastal wetlands, dunes, and forests.
