Monica M Smith, DSW, IDI, ICS, currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging at the University of Wisconsin System, a position held since June 2023. Previously, from March 2018 to June 2023, Monica acted as the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer at Augustana College, where significant contributions included establishing the Office of Diversity, coordinating the college's strategic diversity plan, and enhancing recruitment practices for underrepresented students. Additional roles include Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Elizabethtown College, a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, and Director of the Office of Inclusion and Diversity at Saint Joseph's University, where Monica developed various diversity initiatives and programs. Monica holds a Doctorate in Clinical Social Work and a Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.
