Ray Cross has extensive experience in higher education leadership, currently serving as President Emeritus of the University of Wisconsin System since February 2014. Prior to this role, Ray Cross was Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin Extension and UW Colleges from February 2011 to February 2014. Ray Cross also held the position of President at Morrisville State College from April 1998 to February 2011 and at Northwest Technical College from July 1992 to April 1998. Earlier in Ray Cross's career, leadership roles included President at Ferris State University from August 1977 to June 1992 and serving as a Professor and Department Head at the same institution. Ray Cross earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in College and University Administration from Michigan State University, a Master's degree from Central Michigan University, and a Bachelor's degree from Ferris State University.
