Nikita Vladimirov is an experienced imaging scientist and platform manager at the University of Zurich since June 2021, focusing on improving light-sheet microscopy. Prior to this role, Vladimirov served as a postdoctoral fellow at Max Delbrück Center from January 2017 to June 2021, where a prototype light-sheet microscope with integrated adaptive optics was designed and constructed. Earlier experience includes working as a research specialist at Howard Hughes Medical Institute from February 2013 to January 2017, where a high-end light-sheet microscope was built, facilitating the imaging and analysis of brain activity in zebrafish larvae. Additionally, Vladimirov held a postdoctoral position at IBM from May 2010 to January 2013, conducting simulations of neural networks related to memory consolidation and epilepsy in the hippocampus. Vladimirov holds a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Heidelberg University, earned between 2006 and 2009.
