Abel Nkolo

Abel Nkolo PhD serves as the Chief of Party for the USAID/Defeat TB Project at University Research Co., LLC and Center for Human Services, overseeing project planning and implementation in Uganda since November 2017. With extensive experience in tuberculosis and public health, Abel has held significant positions, including National Professional Officer at the World Health Organization and Principal TB Technical Advisor at Management Sciences for Health. Previous roles encompass Senior TB Technical Advisor for KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation and Director of Health Systems Strengthening at Management Sciences for Health. Abel's educational credentials include a PhD in Public Health from Walden University, an MPH from Makerere University, and an MBChB from Mbarara University of Science & Technology.
