Denise Averbug Jacobson is an experienced professional in health program management, currently serving as an Associate and Program/Country Manager at Abt Associates since November 2004. In this role, Denise manages multiple private health sector projects focusing on family planning/reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, social marketing, and public-private partnerships across various countries, including Guatemala, Honduras, Ghana, India, Bolivia, and Peru. Previously, Denise contributed as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, collecting data for a mental health study and translating materials, and worked as a Research Associate at MacroGenics and the FDA, focusing on cell line development and vaccine model development, respectively. Denise holds a Master of Public Health in International Health from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland.
