Erik Marcelo, PHR, SHRM-CP has a strong background in human resources, with a focus on international HR practices. Erik has experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and providing HR administration for various projects in different countries. Erik has served as a Director, International Human Resources and Human Resources Manager at University Research Co., LLC (URC) & Center for Human Services (CHS), where they worked closely with project teams and HR officers to support recruitment, performance evaluation, and employee relations. Prior to this, Erik worked as a Human Resources Generalist at the same organization, where they played a key role in developing and implementing international HR programs and policies. Before joining URC & CHS, they worked as a Human Resources Administrator at PTFS, Inc. Overall, Erik brings a wealth of experience in international HR management and is knowledgeable in various aspects of HR including recruitment, benefits, employment contracts, and labor laws.

Erik Marcelo, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a background in International Business from American University. In January 2012, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Additionally, in March 2015, they acquired the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM Certification. Erik gained another SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification in the same month and year from SHRM. In December 2018, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources™ (PHR™) certification from HRCI.
