Alison Wrynn

Alison Wrynn is a seasoned academic administrator currently serving as Senior Vice Chancellor at the University System of Maryland since January 2023. Wrynn has previously held significant roles at California State University, Office of the Chancellor, including Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Programs, Innovations and Faculty Development, Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor, and State University Associate Dean for Academic Programs from October 2016 to December 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Undergraduate Studies and General Education at California State University, Fullerton and as a faculty member across multiple ranks at California State University, Long Beach and State University of New York College at Cortland. Wrynn's educational background includes a PhD in Human Biodynamics from the University of California, Berkeley, and advanced degrees in Physical Education from California State University, Long Beach and Springfield College.
