Bart Pursel

Bart Pursel has a strong background in technology and education. Bart currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Unizin starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they held various roles at Pennsylvania State University, including Affiliate Associate Research Professor in the College of Information Sciences and Technology, Director of Teaching and Learning with Technology Innovation, Associate Director of the Center for Pedagogy in Arts and Design (C-PAD), Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning with Technology Innovation, Faculty Programs Coordinator in Teaching and Learning with Technology, and Co-Director of the Center for Online Innovation in Learning (COIL). During their time at Pennsylvania State University, Bart worked on a range of projects related to research, pedagogy, and technology in education. Bart has expertise in fostering transdisciplinary learning communities, conducting research experiments, and collaborating with faculty on grant proposals and manuscripts. Prior to their work at Pennsylvania State University, Bart worked as a Research Associate and Designer.

Bart Pursel has a strong educational background, beginning with their undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. From 1996 to 1999, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. Building upon this foundation, Pursel then attended Bloomsburg University again, completing their Master's degree in Instructional Technology from 1999 to 2000.

Following their Master's degree, Pursel furthered their education by enrolling in Penn State University. From 2002 to 2009, they dedicated himself to a comprehensive Doctor of Philosophy program, specializing in Workplace Learning and Performance.

Through their academic journey, Pursel has expertise in various fields, including Mass Communications, Instructional Technology, and Workplace Learning and Performance. Their extensive educational background showcases their commitment to expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of education.
