L. Allen Penry, MBA, FHFMA has a diverse work experience in healthcare administration and revenue cycle management. L. Allen currently serves as the Director of Patient Financial Services at UNLV Health, where they oversee the revenue cycle operation. Prior to that, they were the System Director of Revenue Cycle at Northern Arizona Healthcare, where they led various departments within the revenue cycle. L. Allen also served as the Director of Revenue Cycle and Interim COO at Gila River Health Care, where they oversaw all revenue cycle operations.

In addition, Penry has held leadership positions at Lovelace Health System, Banner Health, HonorHealth, San Juan Regional Medical Center, and Desert Radiologists. L. Allen was responsible for managing patient access teams, optimizing revenue cycle operations, and improving customer service.

Before entering the healthcare industry, Penry worked at Citi as a Vice President, Operations Manager, where they led a large contact center operation. L. Allen also has experience as the Chief Executive Officer of Castleview Hospital, LLC, where they achieved Top 100 Hospital status and oversaw various operational improvements.

L. Allen Penry holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Northern Arizona University. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, with a major in Finance and a minor in German.

In addition to their academic credentials, Penry has obtained several certifications, including Epic Resolute Professional Billing Administration and Epic ARCR: Resolute Professional Billing Director from Epic, which they received in August 2023 and April 2023, respectively. L. Allen also holds a certification in Epic Grand Central/Prelude Administration (retired) from Epic. Furthermore, Penry is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA).
