Abid Ali

Abid Ali is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in the humanitarian and development sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Homs Sub Office for UNOPS since March 2023, Abid oversees various operational areas including project management, quality assurance, and finance management. Prior experience includes roles as a Technical Advisor at the World Food Programme, where guidance was provided on project management in the RBN/RBJ regions, and as a Team Leader for a USAID program at Techno-Consult International, where significant leadership was demonstrated in municipal services. Abid's background also encompasses project management positions at Infrastructure Development Authority of the Punjab and IMC Worldwide, focusing on large-scale infrastructure projects, as well as humanitarian roles with Habitat for Humanity and the United Nations. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Project Management from Szabist University and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from CECOS University.
