Amthal Hakim is a Structural Engineer with extensive experience in civil engineering, currently serving at UNOPS since May 2022, providing technical expertise in managing structural designs and ensuring quality documentation. Amthal has held various roles, including IUL Project Coordinator for the EU-funded CONECTE Project, and has been a full-time faculty member in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the Islamic University of Lebanon since April 2018. Notable contributions also include founding the American Concrete Institute Student Chapter at IUL and leading structural inspections after the Beirut Port Explosion for the Order of Engineers and Architects of Beirut. Amthal's academic credentials include a PhD and a Master's in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor's in Civil and Environmental Engineering, all obtained from Beirut Arab University.
