Carlos Serrano Mesa

Carlos Serrano Mesa possesses extensive experience in explosives ordnance disposal (EOD) and operations management. Currently serving as the Deputy Head of Operations for UNMAS in Gaza, Carlos leads day-to-day operational planning and delivery of EOD support. Previous roles include Chief Operations Officer at Aldra Alameen Security Services, where strategic planning and operational oversight were key responsibilities, and Regional Area Coordinator with UNMAS, overseeing mine action activities in collaboration with local authorities and international agencies. Carlos has also held positions with the United Nations Mine Action Service and has a military background with the Légion étrangère, specializing in EOD and combat diving. Recognized for expertise in risk assessment and operational training, Carlos continues to contribute to international mine action efforts.
