Celeste Saccomano

Celeste Saccomano is a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Officer at UNOPS, with extensive experience in developing and implementing gender-focused strategies across various regions. Since December 2022, Celeste has conducted project opportunity assessments in Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to inclusive programming and drafting guidance for the LCR Framework. Previous roles include leading the integration of gender diversity strategies in procurement at UNOPS and transforming a gender-blind project into a regional champion in Honduras. Celeste's background also includes work as a Counter-Trafficking Caseworker at the Helen Bamber Foundation and as a Policy Analyst at UN Women. With advanced degrees from prestigious institutions such as the London School of Economics, Celeste has a strong academic foundation in gender, development, and international relations.
