Fernando Cumbula

Fernando Cumbula is a seasoned security professional with extensive experience in various roles related to security management and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Security Officer at UNOPS since January 2022, Cumbula previously held the position of Security Associate at the United Nations from January 2021 to January 2022. Prior to that, Cumbula was a Regional Project Manager at G4S on Nacala Logistics and worked as a Security Coordinator for Mozambique Rovuma Venture SpA, where responsibilities included supporting the ENI Security Manager and conducting risk and vulnerability assessments. Additional experience includes a role as a Maritime Security Advisor at Fugro and military service as a Military Operations Officer in the Navy from March 2006 to June 2017. Cumbula holds a Master's degree in Naval Engineering from the Naval University of Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in security from the Military Academy, along with advanced studies at Marine Corps University.
