Dan Altschuler Malek is the managing partner at Unovis Asset Management. Prior to joining Unovis, Dan was a Sr. Venture Partner at New Crop Capital, where they helped early stage companies scale their businesses. Dan also served as a mentor at Food-X and Startupbootcamp, two programs that support early-stage founders.
Dan's interest in the food industry began when they were a traveler with Root Curious, a company that allows people to explore different cultures through food. Dan then went on to work in various roles at Alpha Foods, Zero Egg, and Black Sheep Foods before becoming a managing partner at Unovis Asset Management.
Throughout their career, Dan has been passionate about helping early-stage companies succeed. Dan believes that the key to success is having access to the right mentors, partners, and investors.
Dan Altschuler Malek studied business administration, management and finance at Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México before earning their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the school. Dan then completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and earned a Graduate Certificate in E-Commerce & Finance from Harvard Extension School.
