Co-Founder at Unravel Carbon

Marc Allen began their career in 1996 as a Vacation Work Student at West Australian Petroleum Pty Ltd (now Chevron Australia). In 2000, they took on the role of Production Manager at BOC's Murrin Murrin Operations, where they were responsible for two site supervisors and four plant operator technicians. In 2006, Marc moved to The Simulus Group as a Senior Process Engineer and Simulation Co-ordinator, providing consulting services to the mining and minerals processing industry. In 2009, they joined Energetics Pty Ltd as a Principal Consultant and Senior Consultant, assisting large energy users and large emitters with development of energy efficiency opportunities and carbon mitigation strategies. In 2017, Marc became Technical Director at engeco, a Singapore-based management consultancy providing advisory services primarily in energy and greenhouse gas management and strategy. In 2018, they became Director of the Coalition for Eco-Efficient Comminution (CEEC). In 2019, Marc was appointed Co-Chair of Singapore's National Mirror Committee for ISO/TC 323, the ISO Technical Committee developing standards and guidance in the area of circular economy. Most recently, in 2022, Marc became Co-Founder of Unravel Carbon, a company that enables enterprises to decarbonize themselves and their networks of SMEs with speed and at scale.

Marc Allen obtained a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Curtin University in 1998, followed by a Masters of Sustainability from the same institution in 2018. In November 2020, they obtained a Certified Chair certification from the Advisory Board Centre.
