Hector Sharp (هيكتور شارب)

Hector Sharp has extensive experience in legal and humanitarian work, currently serving as a Legal Officer in the Protection department at UNRWA since October 2021, where responsibilities include engagement with the International Human Rights System and supporting humanitarian efforts in Gaza. Previous roles at UNRWA include acting as the Head of the Field Legal Office and leading the Protection of Civilians initiative. Hector’s experience also encompasses a Researcher position at the International Committee of the Red Cross focused on urban warfare and non-state armed groups, as well as an Associate role at Norton Rose Fulbright dealing with international disputes and regulatory compliance. Educational credentials include a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy, a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the same institution.
