Dr. Afsaneh Asaei

Dr. Afsaneh Asaei has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and research. Dr. Afsaneh currently serves as the Head of Artificial Intelligence at UnternehmerTUM GmbH, where they work with cross-functional product teams and corporate partners to lead innovative product development. Dr. Afsaneh has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Team Leader at the Idiap Research Institute, where they conducted research and led a team. Additionally, they have experience as an R&D Scholar and PhD Secondment at Carnegie Mellon University and The University of Edinburgh, respectively. Prior to these roles, they worked as an R&D Engineer and Team Leader at the IRAN Telecommunication Research Center and co-founded Data Spectrum Consultancy, providing software and hardware consultancy services for data projects.

Dr. Afsaneh Asaei completed their education as follows: Dr. Afsaneh obtained a Diploma in Mathematics and Physics from Farzanegan School, National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET) from 1991 to 1997. Dr. Afsaneh then earned a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic from 1998 to 2002. Dr. Afsaneh continued their education and received an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Applied Artificial Intelligence from Sharif University of Technology from 2004 to 2006. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Applied Artificial Intelligence from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2009 to 2013.
