Amaan Akram

Amaan Akram has had a diverse and progressive career in the field of VFX and CG. Amaan is currently working as the Head of VFX at Untold Studios, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, Amaan held various leadership roles at The Mill, including Group Head of CG from November 2019 to August 2021, Head of 3D from November 2018 to November 2019, Deputy Head of 3D from October 2017 to November 2018, and Lighting & Rendering Supervisor from January 2014 to October 2017.

Before joining The Mill, Amaan worked at MPC as a Lead Lighting & Lookdev TD from September 2012 to January 2014. Amaan started their career at The Mill as an FX and Rendering TD from July 2010 to September 2012. Prior to that, they were the Lead CG Artist/Head of 3D at Men From Mars from October 2006 to June 2010, and a CG Artist at Digi-Guys from October 2003 to October 2006.

Amaan's career began at Gulfnet Solutions, where they worked as a Senior Designer from 2000 to 2003. Throughout their career, Amaan has gained extensive experience and expertise in VFX, CG, rendering, lighting, lookdev, and leadership roles.

Amaan Akram completed their BSc Hons degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from LUMS, spanning from 1996 to 1999.
