Gürel Mehmet

Gürel Mehmet has a diverse and extensive work experience in the creative industry. They started their career in 2002 as a Matte Painter and Creature Texture Artist at Framestore. They then worked as a Matte Painter at Cinesite in 2003 and later at The Mill in 2004. In the same year, they also held the role of Matte Painter at Framestore. In 2005, they became a Visual Effects Art Director at Double Negative, where they worked until 2012. As a freelancer, they served as an Art Director in the motion pictures and film industry from 2012 to 2014. After that, they worked as an Art Director at Cinesite from 2014 to 2019. During this period, they also worked as a Freelance Art Director for a short period. From 2019 to 2022, Gürel Mehmet held the position of Head of Creative - Episodics at Moving Picture Company. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Art Department and Supervising Art Director at Untold Studios, starting from 2023.

Gürel Mehmet attended Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Fine Art.
