Steve Zabel

Steve Zabel has extensive experience in financial leadership, holding prominent positions such as Executive Vice President and CFO at Unum from August 2013 to July 2019, as well as President of Closed Block Operations and Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer. Prior to Unum, Zabel served as Chief Financial Officer for Long Term Care and Life Insurance at Genworth Financial between July 2005 and January 2012, and held various roles including Senior Vice President of Audit. Zabel's earlier career includes senior management at Ernst & Young and vice presidency at Americo Life, Inc., where significant contributions included leading Six Sigma initiatives. Zabel earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
