Steve Zabel

Steve Zabel is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and CFO at Unum since August 2013, Zabel also holds the position of President for Closed Block Operations and previously served as SVP and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to Unum, Zabel was Chief Financial Officer for Genworth Financial's Long Term Care and Life Insurance divisions, and held significant roles at Americo Life, Inc. and Ernst & Young, where expertise in auditing for life and health insurance clients was developed. Zabel earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
