J. Bryan Dixon has extensive experience in the medical field, specializing in sports medicine and non-surgical orthopedics. J. Bryan served as a Sports Medicine Specialist and Medical Director for the Sports Medicine Program at UP Health System - Marquette, where they provided clinical and administrative leadership, developed quality improvement projects, and supervised clinical education. Additionally, they were the Medical Director and Team Physician at the United States Olympic Education Center, overseeing the healthcare needs of resident athletes and coordinating various training programs. J. Bryan Dixon also held the position of Chief Resident during their time at Marquette General Health System and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Notre Dame. J. Bryan demonstrated leadership skills as President of the Marquette-Alger County Medical Society, advocating for the healthcare needs of their peers and their patients.
J. Bryan Dixon began their education journey in 1996 at Montana State University-Bozeman, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and graduated with the highest honors in 2000. Following this, they attended Michigan State University from 2000 to 2004, completing their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree through the Rural Physician Program. Later, from 2004 to 2007, they joined the Marquette Family Medicine Residency Program. J. Bryan furthered their education by participating in the South Bend Notre Dame Sports Medicine Fellowship from 2007 to 2008.
