Leo Gutierrez is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in civil and environmental engineering. Currently serving as a Full Professor at Universidad Del Pacifico: Escuela de Negocios since January 2014, and as a Professor at Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral since February 2021, Leo has also held the position of Research Fellow at UGent since February 2017. Previous roles include Research Fellow at Curtin University from October 2014 to March 2019, and Scientific Consultant at KAUST from May 2012 to August 2014. Leo's academic foundation was built at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Civil and Environmental Engineering were obtained between 2007 and 2013.
