Steve Ricciardelli

Senior Staff Engineer, Architecture at Updater

Steve Ricciardelli has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Steve started their career at the University of Connecticut as an IT Consultant in the Web Development Lab and later became a Senior IT Consultant in the Admissions Department. In 2004, they joined the Army Special Forces (Airborne) as a Special Forces Communication Sergeant, where they executed various operations and was responsible for setting up and maintaining advanced communication systems. During their time in the Army, they also developed an inventory application using C#.NET, MS Access, and SQLite, as well as custom scripts for office automation using VBA.

After leaving the Army, Steve worked at YellowHammer as a Senior Developer & Systems Analyst. Steve was later promoted to Vice President of Engineering before joining Updater as the Director of Frontend Engineering. Steve held this position for nearly six years before transitioning to the role of VP of Engineering. Currently, Steve is employed at Updater as a Senior Staff Engineer, focusing on architecture.

Steve Ricciardelli earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut between 1997 and 2002. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Scrum Master certification from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile in January 2014.
