Cleiton dos S. Garcia, PhD

Cleiton dos S. Garcia, PhD has held numerous positions in the technology field since 1998. Cleiton began their career as an Electrotechnical Technician at Eletro Alarme in 1998. Cleiton then moved to DM Informática Ltda as an Electronic Technician in 1999, where they were responsible for the maintenance of Unisys and DELL Computers throughout the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. In 2000, they became a Computer Support and Development at CEEE, where they designed a project for automation of the 0800, proxy and Linux firewall. From 2002 to 2007, they worked at Systemakers Informática Ltda as a Programmer Analyst, developing new features in the modules of stock control, finance, real estate and hospital administration. During this time, they also worked as a Development Project Leader at Conrad Caine Media Applications. In 2003, they became the Software Architect and Digital Transformation Team Leader at WEG, where they were responsible for delivering customer and technical requirements to the system design with the appropriate quality. Since 2010, they have been a Professor at Centro Universitário - Católica de Santa Catarina. Most recently, in 2017, they became the Chief Product & Technology Officer and Co-Founder of UpFlux Process Mining.

Cleiton dos S. Garcia, PhD began their educational journey in 1997, when they obtained a Technical degree in Electronics from the Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Pelotas. Cleiton then went on to pursue a Bachelor degree in Information System from the Católica de Santa Catarina - Centro Universitário, which they completed in 2005. In 2007, they obtained a Postgraduation degree in Software Engineering from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná. Cleiton later returned to the same institution to pursue a Master in Informatics, which they completed in 2012. Finally, Cleiton dos S. Garcia, PhD obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná in 2020. Additionally, in January 2020, they obtained a certification in Selling to Executives from LinkedIn.
