Pam Harmer, an Associate member of CIPD, currently serves as the Head of People & Hotels at Upham Inns since November 2020. With extensive experience in the hospitality and retail sectors, Pam's previous roles include various managerial positions at Welcome Break from 2010 to 2020, where Pam significantly contributed to the development and execution of apprenticeship programs and strategic people plans, enhancing training and compliance across multiple brands. Earlier experience includes roles at Mitchells & Butlers, where Pam managed HR business functions and training for various restaurant brands, overseeing significant openings and staff development. Pam also has a background as an NVQ Assessor and Assistant Manager, demonstrating a strong foundation in training, compliance, and operational management.

The Upham Group is the south of England’s fastest growing pub company. We own a growing family of pubs and inns across Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex and Wiltshire with plans to increase the portfolio. We choose pubs with character and charm, predominantly in country locations, that have suffered from a lack of investment and care. We then improve, reinvigorate and upgrade them to bring them to life in a way that locals and visitors alike really appreciate.
