Sarah Heard

Sarah Heard has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sarah currently holds the position of Head of People and Talent at Wikifarmer since May 2023. Prior to that, they were Head of People and Talent at Impala from September 2022 to February 2023, and also served as Head of Talent at Impala from April 2022 to September 2022.

Sarah previously worked at Verkada as the Head of Recruitment, EMEA (and interim Australia) from January 2021 to April 2022. During their time at Verkada, they were responsible for creating interview processes, analyzing profiles, and headcount planning. Sarah also hired additional team members while contributing to the overall growth of the business.

Prior to their role at Verkada, Sarah worked at Tableau Software (a Salesforce Company) as a Senior Manager, Recruitment EMEA from December 2019 to November 2020. Sarah led a team of recruiters and coordinators, managed stakeholder relationships, and played a role in headcount management.

Sarah also has experience at Cisco Meraki, where they held various roles including Head of Talent Acquisition, EMEAR from September 2017 to November 2019, Senior Sales Recruiter, EMEA from January 2016 to September 2017, and EMEA Recruitment from June 2014 to January 2016. At Cisco Meraki, they contributed to its successful acquisition by Cisco Systems and played a key role in establishing the Cloud Networking Group.

Sarah'searlier experiences include roles at Euro London Appointments as a Senior Recruitment Consultant from January 2014 to May 2014, and as a Multilingual Recruitment Consultant from July 2012 to January 2014.

Sarah's career began in the hospitality industry, where they co-owned Aperitivo Et Al, a wine bar and shop, from October 2006 to November 2011. Sarah also worked as an Assistant Manager at Trattoria San Giacomo from October 2004 to October 2006.

Sarah started their career as an Accounts Coordinator and Customer Service Representative at Mountain Hardwear and Osprey from September 2001 to July 2003.

Sarah Heard attended Oakham School from 1989 to 1996. After completing their education there, they went on to attend the University of Leeds from 1997 to 2001. At the University of Leeds, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in French, Spanish, and Business studies.
